Full moon in Gemini: The multitudes within you

Trust that you can use this moment of clarity and awareness to sit with whatever is being revealed to you. Gather your newfound wisdom so that you may align with your inner truth.

Full Moons are a time of culmination and completion. Full Moons can cause us to be restless and agitated, unable to sleep or still our mind. During a Full Moon, the Sun and Moon oppose each other. The light of the Sun lights up the Moon, and she is illuminated and fully revealed. In astrology, the Moon represents our emotions, our subconscious thoughts and feelings, and oftentimes, our body. Thus, during a Full Moon, we cannot hide from our feelings. It’s a moment of clarity and realization.

This Full Moon takes place on the 15th of December, 2024 at 4:01 AM eastern in 23° Gemini. Gemini, ruled by Mercury, is a sign which signifies duality, versatility, and dynamism.

Alongside the Moon, sits retrograde Jupiter. Jupiter, the planet of abundance, knowledge, wisdom, and truth. Jupiter has been retrograde since October, and will turn direct on the 4th of February, 2025. With the Moon sitting in a wide conjunction to Jupiter, there is a truth to be uncovered, among all the contradictory perspectives.

Opposite the Moon in Gemini, sits Mercury at 6° of Sagittarius. Mere hours after the Full Moon, Mercury stations direct. He has completed his retrograde cycle. He has reviewed, reassessed, and reevaluated. He is now ready to integrate the lessons of his retrograde. He sits in a sign ruled by Jupiter. With both planets sitting in each other’s homes (aka mutual reception), they are able to hear and understand each other.

Sagittarius, our archer, is concerned with radical authenticity and the truth. Not just any truth, but your truth, THE truth. Gemini, represented by the twins, is a sign known for its curiosity, its capacity to collect and amass information, and its ability to see the multi-faceted aspects of life. This Gemini Full Moon conjunct Jupiter reminds me of Walt Whitman’s poem, “Song of Myself”.

Do I contradict myself?
Very well then I contradict myself,
(I am large, I contain multitudes.)

With the Full Moon illuminating all your options, choices, and beliefs, it is normal if you are feeling slightly overwhelmed. However, trust that you can use this moment of clarity and awareness to sit with whatever is being revealed to you. Gather your newfound wisdom so that you may align with your inner truths.
